A musical performance group “Tsumugine” in which women play the leading role is organized by Yasuno Miyauchi. The compositions are not produced via musical scores but rather are borne by a unique methodology of breathing, voices, etc. through the body to create an “organic sound.” She has developed public performances and workshop activities.
In the first part she reflects with her supervising professor at the time, Masahiro Miwa, about the meandering it took to complete her graduating piece for IAMAS which became a formative experience in the creation of “Tsumugine”. Furthermore, in the second part she spoke to us about her activities after graduating from IAMAS and her prospects for the future.
