運動体とは、時間の経過とともに空間内の位置が変化する現象や活動と定義し、動機（motive）となる題材（motif）を見つけ、日々の実践を遂行するための知見や方法論を探索します。ラースロー?モホイ＝ナジ（1947）の言葉に基づき、知性と感情を、社会的要素と技術的要素のバランスを取った状態に保つことを出発点とし、アイデアを具体化するプロセスを検証し、公開することを目指します。 このプロジェクトは、任意のグループ「クリティカル?サイクリング（2016年～）」の実践を基盤とし、萌芽プロジェクト「プラクティカル?サイクリング」を経て、研究参加者との定期的な意見交換を通じて実施されています。 手法としては、クリティカル?サイクリングが自転車に乗ることを批評的に捉えている点に着目し、このプロジェクトでは何らかの「運動体」に関連する実践が、芸術的、社会的、学術的な意義を持つかどうかを検証します。ここでの実践とは、グラフィックを作る、詩を作る、映像を作る、ワークショップを作る、など様々な展開が想定されます。
前期の導入では、プロジェクト開始初年度として「運動体」のテーマを考えるためのワークショップ（ヨガ｜パンタグラフィー｜シェイク自転車）を実施した。後期では、ワークショップ（10番目の感傷（VR）｜マペット操演｜野辺自転車レクチャー＆ワークショップ）を実施した。並行して個々の実践を通じて企画展公募の提案書作成や、2024年度に実施を予定している学外企画展ためのリサーチおよびディスカッションを継続している。 前期後期を通じて研究参加者各自による実践をクリティカル?サイクリングのWEBサイトへ記事を公開した。個々の活動内容はこのWEBサイトで参照されたい。 WEBで掲載されている記事の主な内容は、実走調査（Dark Touring：赤松正行）｜デザイン実践（Visions in Motion：瀬川晃）｜欧洲杯比赛投注_欧洲杯外围app-竞猜|官网（志村翔太?河合将也?塩澄祥大）などがある。ダーク?ツーリングとして負の遺産を自転車で巡る実走調査を行い、運動体という観点でデザインを捉え直してみる実践、自転車による移動と生成AIと文学との試み、自転車と身体との関わりを歴史や社会から論考し、自転車とストリート?カルチャーとの関わりから作品制作を行う、といった個々人の興味関心を動機として、先行事例のリサーチと関連付けて考察している。
A moving body is defined as the passing of time that leads to a phenomenon or activity that changes the body’s position in space. This project finds motifs that become motives; explores methodologies and insights to perform daily practices. Based off of the words of Moholy-Nagy Laszlo (1947), the starting point is to keep intellect and emotions in balance with social and technical elements, with the objective of validating and exposing the process of materializing ideas. This project uses the practices of the voluntary group “Critical Cycling” (2016–) as a base, and through the budding project “Practical Cycling”; through regular exchanges of opinions with participants of the research the project is put in practice. As for the methodology, there is a focus on “Critical Cycling’s” critical view of bicycle riding, and this project examines whether practices related to some kind of “kinetic body” have artistic, social, or academic significance. Practices here are imagined as being developed in various ways, such as by creating graphics, poems, videos, workshops, etc.
For the introduction in the first half of the year, we held workshops (Yoga | Pantography | Shake bikes) to consider the theme of “the body in motion” as the first year of the project. In the latter half of the year, we implemented the workshops (The Tenth Sentiment (VR) | Muppet show | Bicycle field lectures and workshops). In parallel, through individual practices the creation of a written proposal for open calls for exhibitions and research, etc. and planned off-campus exhibitions to be implemented in the 2024 fiscal year are still in discussion. Through the first and latter half of the year the practices of the individual research participants were published in articles on the Critical Cycling website. We want the contents of their individual activities to be referenced from this website. The main content of the articles published consists of field surveys such as (Dark Touring: Masayuki Akamatsu | Design Practices (Visions in Motion: Akira Segawa) | Reports (Shota Shimura / Masaya Kawai / Shota Shiozumi)). We conducted a field survey bicycle tour of negative heritage sites as part of “Dark Touring”. The practice of trying to recapture design from the viewpoint of the body in motion, and experiments of movement, generative AI and literature through bicycles, alongside discussions from society and history concerning the connection between bicycles and the physical body, and from the connection between bicycles and street culture creating artworks, using the individual persons interests as a motive we connected and considered their leading examples in research.
