このプロジェクトは、多様化した現代に生きる中で時折感じる課題や不具合を技術で解決することを目的に活動している。対象を障がい者福祉などに代表される「狭義の福祉」に限定することなく、幅広い内容を扱ってきた。 今年度も「防災」をテーマに取り組んできた。「こどもだいがく」では、子供達に災害時でも遊ぶことを忘れないで欲しいということを伝えるため、避難所で比較的入手しやすい段ボールを使ったワークショップを実践した。また、特別支援学校の先生が行っている防災教育にもアドバイザーとして参加し、昨年から継続している疑似水害体験による防災教育の実践や、今年度新たに追加された疑似地震体験の実施にも協力をしてきた。 福祉的な取り組みとして、特別支援学校の音楽の授業などで比較的よく利用される、ハンドベルの提案も紹介した。より多くの子供達がハンドベルの体験ができるように、マイコンや3Dプリンター等を利用した新しいハンドベルの提案を行い、先生へのアンケート調査を行った。今後は個別の先生が利用して意見をいただけるように調整などを行っていく予定である。
This project aims to use technology to solve the issues and discomfort that we sometimes experience in our diversified modern world. The project has dealt with a wide range of subjects by not limiting its target to “welfare in the narrow sense,” i.e. the welfare system concerning people with disabilities. We have been tackling the theme of “disaster prevention.” During the event, “Children University”, based on the desire to encourage children to remember to play even in times of disaster, we organized and oversaw a workshop on making things out of cardboard, a comparatively easy to acquire item at evacuation sites. In addition, we participated as advisors in disaster prevention education being conducted by teachers at special-needs schools by cooperating in the practice of disaster prevention education events, such as: simulated flooding experiences – ongoing since last year – and the implementation of simulated earthquake experiences – newly added this year.
