本作は「オリジナルの印画紙」「大判印刷」「Webページ」の3つの形式の写真で構成される。作者がアセトンを散布することによって印画紙の表層に残った物質的痕跡が、3つの形式を鑑賞する時の指針として機能し、鑑賞時に形式同士を結びつける。痕跡は、被写体の指紋や侵食による大地のイメージと重なり、一つの画像が様々なイメージを呼び込む原器ともなる。
The work consists of three forms of media: “original photographic paper”, “large format printing” and a “web page”. The material traces left on the surface layer of the photographic paper by the artist’s use of acetone spray act as a guideline inking the formats together when viewed. The traces overlapping with the fingerprints of the subject seem similar to images of the erosion of earth, and thereby serve as a source vessel through which a single image can inspire a variety of images.
