Observing Variation: in Sliced Loin Hams

映像インスタレーション一様に見えるスライスロースハムの差異から、日常生活の中の「遊び」を捉えた作品。大量生産品は同じ色や形をしており「遊び」がないようにみえる。しかし１つ１つをよく観察すると、微かな差異があることに気づく。本作では、１パック４枚入りという販売形態を単位としてハムを対比させ、映像?音響?空間を構成し、差異の顕在化を試みた。
Video InstallationThis work captures the “play” in everyday life through the differences in sliced loin hams, which appears to be uniform. Mass-produced products have the same color and shape and seem to have no “play” in them. However, when we observe each piece closely, we notice that there are subtle differences. In this work, I attempted to reveal the differences by contrasting hams as a unit of the sales format of four pieces per pack, and composing images, sound, and space.
