The Live Broadcasting of Dreams ; The Overwriting of Situations 1
現代日本の「廃墟性」を最も象徴する公共建築「国立競技場」を主題とした映像インスタレーション。東京都美術館「都市のみる夢」(2020年9月11日?30日)にて展示発表。会期中は合計5回の「中継パフォーマンス」も実施。スクリーン上でループ再生される本編映像を中断させ、その同一投影面上に美術館外からのリアルタイムの映像を映し出した。
The subject of the video installation is the National Stadium, a public building that represents an inconvenient truth of Japan in 2020 the most. The stadium appears often in the story as a symbol, yet monologues of characters of five women illustrate the truth more suggestively. Their monologues are ambivalent, biased, subordinate, and somehow empty. Additionally, a media performance which interrupted the video by real time video streaming happened in Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum as a part of the work. It implies a reinvention of history by the use of media technology.
