Technology for Welfare Project

福祉の技術プロジェクトでは、各メンバーが興味を持ったテーマを選定し、身の回りにある技術等を活用して解決することを試みている。今年度はプロジェクトをオンラインで開催し、学外の方も自由に参加ができるプロジェクトを目指した。IAMAS2021では、プロジェクトの紹介と、福祉施設の方との話し合いで見つかった、二つの取り組みについて展示した。 一つは、「発話をテキストへ変換する取組み事例」で、発話がはっきりしない方との会話で聞き返しを減らしスムーズな対話を支援するため、会話内容を文字で表示する事例である。 もう一つは、「作品をオンライン販売する取組み」で、施設で制作されている作品をオンライン販売することで、作品を通じて制作者である利用者を知ってもらうための取組みである。 また、IAMAS2021で展示には至らなかったが、福祉施設の利用者が日々制作している作品を用いたグッズとする取組みを行い、利用者へ興味を持つきっかけとなる活動を目指した。いずれの内容も継続して扱う予定である。また、前年度までの内容を「いろいろなみんなの展覧会 種を、まく。」（10月8日から11日）に参加して展示を行った。
In the Technology for Welfare Project, each member selects a theme they are interested in and attempts to resolve related issues by utilizing the technologies around them. Since we held the project online this academic year due to COVID-19, participants did not have to physically travel. Drawing on this advantage, we aimed to create a project that would allow people from outside the school to participate as well. At IAMAS 2021, our exhibit introduced our group and presented two activities derived from discussions with people working at welfare facilities: examples of efforts to convert speech into text, and efforts to sell works online. The first featured examples of how to support conversations with people who have difficulties speaking. The second was an initiative to sell artworks created by members of welfare facilities online in an effort to get more people to recognize the creators. Although not included in the exhibit at IAMAS 2021, we also produced goods from everyday works created by members of welfare facilities, hoping to get more people interested in the members. We plan to continue these initiatives going forward. We also presented our past project activities at “Exhibition of Everyone’s Diverse Works: Planting Seeds” (October 8 – 11).
